Specialising in Children and Young People's
Mental Health and Wellbeing
1.
Individual
Therapy
I provide psychological assessments and therapy for children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression. I also specialise in supporting neurodivergent children and young people who may be struggling with mental health difficulties. I use a variety of different evidence-based psychological approaches, such as CBT, to help individuals reach their goals.
2.
Parenting Support
Parenting support is designed to give parents and carers the tools and strategies to help their child and find the most effective ways to aid a child's development. This can include behaviours of concern or understanding how to help manage their child's mental health difficulties. I also offer specialist individualised support for parents of neurodivergent children such as Autism or ADHD, to help understand and support their child.
3.
Executive Function
ADHD Coaching
Executive Functions are cognitive processes that help us plan and organise our responses, behaviours and emotions. These include Task Initiation, Sustained Attention, Time Management, Planning and Prioritisation to name a few. Executive Functions can be particularly challenging for those with ADHD and Autism.
I offer individualised, tailored coaching programmes to develop these essential skills, to maximise productivity and achieve success.
4.
Relationship Coaching
Relationship Coaching, specifically the Conscious Uncoupling™ programme is designed for adults experiencing the challenges of a painful breakup, divorce, or lingering grief from a past separation. The Conscious Uncoupling process guides individuals toward wholeness. If you're a parent navigating a separation or divorce and seeking to support your children through this challenging period, coaching can help.
About Me
Welcome, I'm Freena (she/her), and I have over 10 years experience working with children and families. I'm a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) and also a Certified Executive Function Coach. I have been providing specialist psychological services to support children, young people and families as well as adults.

I have been working primarily in NHS Specialist CAMHS carrying out clinical assessments and treatment interventions for children and families as well as offering mental health training, consultation and supervision to Social Care and School/ Education teams.

I currently work as Programme Director for two post-graduate programmes which trains clinicians and their supervisors to work in child mental health services, at one of the UK's top universities. This is alongside offering psychological services in private practice .
My Approach
When working therapeutically, it's important for me to understand your unique experiences and difficulties. This ensures that your treatment is tailored to your specific needs. Typically, my approach is short-term, offering eight to ten sessions in the first instance, then we would review where you are in relation to your goals.
I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, Solution-Focused therapy, Attachment-Based interventions and Parenting interventions, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Systemic Approaches. I always integrate the latest evidence-based practices relevant to your particular situation.
My experience spans a wide spectrum of emotional wellbeing and mental health challenges, and my aim is to apply evidence-based interventions to maximise your progress and help you achieve your goals.
